At New Hope UMC, we strive to be one with each other.
We are a welcoming and open community, and we invite all to join us.
Whether you're looking for a place to worship or just to make new friends, New Hope UMC will provide you with a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can connect with your fellow brothers and sisters.
We believe in living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a welcoming community that is one with Christ, one with each other and one in service to all.
A welcoming community that is one with Christ, one with each other, one in service to all.
We believe we are called to share our resources, time and talents in service to our church, our local communities and our world.
We believe it is our responsibility to care for God’s creation. In addition to recycling programs throughout our building, we provide education to the community, have community gardens on our property, plant native plants and more.
New Hope UMC has a long history of supporting the community, including:
- providing daycare for teen moms
- housing the homeless through PADS
- collecting hats and mittens for local schools
We continue to look for opportunities to spread God’s love by serving our communities.
We believe in expanding our faith community by teaching the gospel, sharing time together in worship and fellowship and welcoming everyone to the table of our Lord.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in one God, who is revealed in three distinct persons - God as Parent, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus whose life, death and resurrection demonstrate God’s redeeming love.
The Holy Spirit is God's present activity in our midst. When we sense God's leading, God's challenge, or God's support or comfort, it's the Holy Spirit at work.
"Communion is our meal," Burton-Edwards* explains, "It is our feeding. We need that sustenance and we need it regularly."
Are you hungry for communion with Jesus Christ? We serve all who present themselves, no matter where you are in your journey of faith. There are no conditions for church membership or completion of a class required.
* Rev. Taylor Burton-Edwards, former director of worship resources with Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church
The Bible teaches us that everything we have from God is given because of God's great love for us. "You are saved by God's grace because of your faith," Ephesians 2 reads. "This salvation is God's gift.”
The role of God's grace is to prepare us, redeem us, and continually shape us into the people we were created to be.
We have several fellowship-centered activities to bring people together for fun, crafts, potluck suppers and more! Here are just a few ways to participate:
Supper Clubs
Ladies’ Luncheon
Stampin’ Up (stamp crafts)
United Women in Faith: The women of the church invite you to join our regular meetings on the first Saturday of the month at 10am.
